The C programming language is used to introduce fundamental procedural programming including engineering applications. Programming topics include an overview of computers and programming languages, variables and data types, arithmetic operators, input/output, comments, control structures, user-defined functions, scope, storage class, constants, file i/o, and pointers. Prerequisite for COMP 1571; High School algebra; for COMP 1572, COMP 1571.
